Shining a Light on Solar

With pressure mounding on governments around the globe to transition to a clean energy future, momentum is building rapidly across the large-scale solar sector. As of June 2022, Australia alone had 86 solar plants in operation, a further 39 under construction and over 120 projects committed in the pipeline.

As the industry continues to grow exponentially so to will the amount of infrastructure and assets that need to be maintained. The estimated operational lifespan of a photovoltaic module is about 30-35 years, with the goal being for all components to reach this lifespan in order to minimise operational expenses. Given the sheer amount of steel utilised in each plant and that this steel is expected to withstand extreme weather conditions, durability is key.

That’s where ZINGA comes in. Our unique film galvanizing system has already been used as a protection and repair solution across a wide range of solar plant projects worldwide from Peru and Chile to France, Morocco and Oman. As you’ll read in the case studies below, many of the applications have seen ZINGA used to repair HDG structures that have failed after only a few years of operation.

Why choose ZINGA for your next solar project?
