Avoid Paint Failure with the Elcometer 319 Dewpoint Meter

WHAT IS PAINT FAILURE?

Paint failure (or premature coating failure) occurs when a paint coat fails to properly adhere to or protect surface on which it was applied. It can present itself in many forms including blistering, delamination, and bubbling - all of which are preventable with the right preparation and application knowledge. Imagine completing a $1M industrial paint project that fails and blisters in a matter of days - all because you failed to paint in the right conditions. That’s one very expensive and potentially career jeopardizing mistake!

HOW CAN IT BE PREVENTED?

One of the biggest causes of premature paint failure in the Oceania region is moisture, however it’s also one of the easiest problems to prevent with a Dewpoint Meter.

A Dewpoint Meter, such as the industry-leading Elcometer® 319, measures and records all relevant climatic parameters required to determine whether the conditions are suitable for painting; an extremely valuable tool for large, big-budget paint projects.
